Foundations Guided Play — Building Confidence Through Practice

Foundations Guided Play is the third session of the Beginner Foundations Series. Now that you’ve learned the fundamentals and played through the game with guidance, this session gives you something every new Mahjong player needs: time at the table. You’ll play full games in a relaxed, supportive setting while Erika is nearby to answer questions, reinforce game flow, and help when you get stuck. This session is about practice, not another lesson. You’ll have time to: 🀄️ Practice the Charleston and deciding which hands to consider 🀄️ Get more comfortable reading the National Mah Jongg League card 🀄️ Work through calling tiles, exposures, and jokers 🀄️ Practice the rhythm and flow of a full game 🀄️ Ask questions as they naturally come up during play 🀄️ Build confidence making your own decisions at the table There’s no need to study or prepare. Bring your NMJL card and come ready to play. Tiles, racks, and everything else you need will be provided.
