Leagues

Ready to try league play — but not quite ready for the full League? The Beginner Mini League is designed for newer independent American Mahjong players who know how to play and can complete a game on their own, but are still building confidence, speed, and strategy. Over three Monday evenings, you'll experience league-style play in a supportive, lower-pressure format with timed rounds, table rotations, scoring, and standings. Each round will include three scored games, allowing a little more time to play and think than in our regular League. Dates: November 16, 23 & 30 Time: 6:00–8:30 PM Players: 12 Registration: $75 for the complete Mini League We'll play two rounds on November 16 and 23, followed by our fifth and final round on November 30. After the final round, we'll reveal the standings and crown our first Beginner Mini League Champion! 🏆 The Mini League Champion earns a complimentary seat in the 2027 Winter League. Who should register? You should be able to Charleston, choose and work toward a hand, make exposures, and complete a game without ongoing instruction. You do not need to be fast or an experienced league player. Questions and support are welcome. This is your chance to learn how league play works, meet other newer players, build confidence — and have some fun along the way.
