Central MA Mahjong League — Season One The Inaugural Season • Fall 2026 The Central MA Mahjong League is a six-week season of organized American Mahjong play with friendly competition, rotating tables, weekly standings, and plenty of the warm, social atmosphere you already know from Central MA Mahjong. Players earn points throughout the season, watch the standings develop from week to week, and compete for Season One awards—all while enjoying six Thursday evenings of Mahjong with a great group of women. Season One Format: • Six weeks of competitive American Mahjong play • Organized tables and player rotations throughout the season • Points tracked each week with updated season standings • Friendly competition focused on good play, consistency, and fun • Season awards for First, Second, and Third Place Season One Schedule: • Competitive Play: September 17 – October 22, 2026 • Thursdays, 6:00–8:45 PM • Doors open at 5:40 PM • Season Celebration: October 29 • Final standings, awards, food & refreshments, and a Season 2 preview Who It's For: League is designed for players who are comfortable playing American Mahjong independently and familiar with the flow of the game, including the Charleston, turn sequence, calling tiles, and standard NMJL procedures. You don't need to be an expert—or the most strategic player in the room. You simply need to be able to play independently, maintain the natural pace of the game, and be ready for a little friendly competition. Inaugural Season Registration: $125 Season One is limited to 16 players.
