Mahjong 101 — Building Your Mahjong Foundation

Mahjong 101 is the first session of our two‑part Beginner Foundations Series. In this session, you’ll get a warm, welcoming introduction to American Mahjong and build the fundamentals you’ll use in Session Two. We cover: 🀄️ Tiles and suits 🀄️ How the National Mahjong League card works 🀄️ How to build and recognize hands 🀄️ The flow and structure of a round 🀄️ Essential rules and terminology The pace is relaxed and supportive, with plenty of time for questions. This session lays the foundation for Mahjong 102, where we build on these skills through guided practice and strategy. Registration & Cancellation Policy (effective 11/1/26) Your registration reserves one of a limited number of seats in this specific two-session Beginner Foundations Series. Please be sure you are available for both dates before registering. Registration is nonrefundable. If your plans change, you may request a transfer to another Beginner Foundations Series at least 7 days before the first session, subject to availability. Requests made within 7 days of the first session cannot be transferred or credited toward a future series. Because Beginner Foundations is a sequential two-session series, missed sessions cannot be made up, transferred, or credited.
